Talk about a day of rest, we've decided to stay at home today rather than go to church too. I can't wait to simply take my own sweet time today. No one calling on the 2-way radios, no one calling on the cell phone, no one paging me on the intercom, no yard to mow, no errands to run, just one day of peace.
We've got to treasure this time, life is about to take a whole new turn. Natalie has just been hired on with Catholic Family Services. I can't tell you how excited she is. It's the first social work job she's had since she worked with Epic in Yakima. That was seven years ago now. The timing is just right for Adia starting school, so Nat won't be trading anything to not be at home. In our school district Kindergarten is a whole day every day affair. Very intimidating for me, to be honest. In my day Kindergarten was half a day. But, we know a lot of kids in the system and they seem fine. On top of that, Adia is enrolled in the Dual Language program which has been very successful here. She'll start learning spanish right away. I know it's a touchy subject here, but the reality is, she'll be better off being bi-lingual than not, it's that simple. So, we have a lot of changes coming up. Maybe you can remember us in your prayers, both sharing in our praises for every minute we have together and sharing in our requests for strength as life begins to pull at us from new directions now.
